I started learning Kathak with DanceKatha in October 2024, and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself.
Learning Indian classical dance was always my dream, and at the age of 45, I finally chose myself and began this journey.
The learning experience has been smooth, enjoyable, and deeply fulfilling. My teacher, Mitika, is amazing ......extremely patient, supportive, and very clear in her teaching. She makes the classes feel comfortable and encouraging, even for beginners that too who dont have any knowledge of classical dances.
And the founder- Riddhi’s unmatched energy and passion are the heartbeat of DanceKatha.
DanceKatha is a wonderful platform for both adults and children to learn classical dance online from anywhere in the world. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to reconnect with Indian classical arts as it’s never too late to start.

My name is Avantika Prabhu, and I have been learning from DanceKatha since July 2021. These past few years learning under the guidance of Riddhi Mapxencar, and tutors, Shreya Vidyarthi & Olivia Biswas, have been absolutely amazing. Their patience, determination and dedication towards their students is commendable! From the basic mudras to the most intricate ones, they have assured that it is understood by all! DanceKatha has most definitely made me fall in love with Kathak, and a huge congratulations to Riddhi ma’am for the success of Jhankar 2024. The event was terrific and motivated us students to perform on stage for a live audience, making it a memorable experience for us all. So I would definitely and strongly recommend DanceKatha! 🫶🏼

Riddhi Ma'am has been friendly and helpful in helping organize a personalized teacher. Mitika Ma'am is articulate and is a good teacher. Although a bit expensive, but quality of the classes compensates the fees. Kudos to Riddhi and Team:)

DanceKatha is passionate about teaching young children kathak the right away. The teachers focus on every detail and aim for perfection while keeping the lessons fun. The dances being taught are beautiful and help the kids connect with their culture. Our little girl has learnt so much in such little time, we are extremely pleased and can see this turning into a long term association. I would recommend this dance school to all kids looking to learn kathak from the comfort of their homes.

Hi, My daughter Mishkaa she started her kathak class from DanceKatha. From the very 1st class ,it is evident that Riddhi mam is not only highly skilled but also has incredible knowledge about the history, culture and has detailed knowledge about Kathak.1 thing that I appreciate about Riddhi mam is her dedication.she is very professional and encouraging and she creates positive environment for her students.

From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank you Riddhi for accepting me as your student. Being a non dancer, a working professional and a busy mom, I was so anxious about learning Kathak, fortunately I found Dance Katha. It made it super easy for me as all that I had to do was make a decision! Riddhi assigned me a lovely teacher Mitika who is as humble as Riddhi... You both are keeping me in positive spirit to keep moving forward. I love my sessions they are never boring and they don't feel being dragged unnecessary and Mitika you are so patient and talented. Dance Katha is an excellent platform to learn Kathak. I never understood the concept of online dance learning that also teaching a 4 year old ,but the teachers have made it possible.

Ridhi and her team is doing excellent job. My daughter who is 7yrs old learning kathak from Dancekatha under the guidance of Guru Olivia. Can't believe the level of understanding and the way she is copping up. Hats off to the teacher patience.. and my daughter learns this class with lot of interest (which is very very important, coz we cannot force them) and will be waiting for it.. For a wonder this is virtual class!

Dance Katha taught my 5 year old daughter to be more disciplined and the teachings have really helped her enhance her dancing skills to the next level. It has been a pleasure to be associated with Dance Katha and Riddhi Mapxencar Ma'am who polished my daughter's dancing skills at such an early age. Kathak is such a beautiful dance form which has enhanced her postures and focus too. I would definitely suggest Dance Katha to all through my own personal experience.
